Huh!

Really, I start a project right when I'm about to start another "shooter's block". I've been shooting a little bit here and there though, it's just a matter of picking some nicer shots to edit...hopefully I have a few. When I do shoot, lately I've been using the 50mm f1.8 lens. Not far reaching but it's a nice fast lens, gives me sharp photos. Many say it's a good portrait lens - I haven't put it to the test for that yet. I joined a photo contest site called I Shot It . I entered a few contests and now interest has temporarily(?) waned on that as well. I think it's because of the warm weather and the fact that there is SO much work to be done around here. My son and I went to a small powwow last weekend, the first of the season in this area (that I know of - I'm not right on top of things though). Saw some familiar faces and bought some sage as well as a mixture of herbs ("sacred blend"). The powwow was held indoors a

Chickadee-dee-dee and logo/watermark

Have not been shooting much. Cold weather and medical procedures, not feeling well, and been busy with working on renovating an "old" website ( www.ma-ript.com ), but did manage to edit a few pics from a couple weeks ago. I did find some time to design this watermark/logo as well. I also made a version that is black with white outline, the opposite of this one, which I think looks better. I wish I could just have the white outline with a transparent background...not sure how that would show over the photos though...or maybe white outline with a black shadow. I didn't use any software that I have. I made it at www.cooltext.com and imported the generated pic into lightroom to be used as a watermark. Anyway, I kind of like it but I think it may be a little too much. What do you think of it? Any ideas or suggestions?

Photo A Day

Sunset Will I stick with it? Good question. Right now, I am determined. I guess I didn't really say it for sure, but at least for now, my 365 will be right here in my Saturdays! blog. I'm late with this one as the card reader I bought for my laptop is nfg. I hate being forced to buy cheap stuff that turns out to be junk. My last photo of 2013. Sunset in Plymouth, MA. 12/31/2013 So anyway, here is my first entry. It's the very last photograph I took in 2013. Project 365 posts will be 'labeled' with the tag "365" and be titled "Photo A Day".
